Another week has flown by. It is hard to believe we are wrapping up the first full week of June.
I was excited to announce our Friday Night Leadership Convention Party (say that 5 times fast!). Join me on October 26, the evening before the NSPC leadership vote, at the Lakeview Ballroom at the Best Western Plus Chocolate Lake. Come out to chat with myself and the whole team. And what would a good Nova Scotia party be without a live band? We have a good one. This is a can’t miss event. For more information - click here.
Last week we had a great event in Cole Harbour. We had another amazing crowd on hand. Lots of enthusiasm over our latest announcements regarding my stance on the unfair carbon tax as well as the release of my pledge to improve transportation throughout Halifax, Dartmouth, Bedford and Sackville.
Some are saying my plan for the HRM has “wheels”. As always, we will keep this project on “track”. Sorry - I had to get those Dad puns out of my system.
I was happy to attend the Dartmouth North AGM. Lots of energy in the room as they elected a new executive board. I was happy to see my friend and candidate of record for Dartmouth North, Melanie Russell, in attendance.
Thanks to Gerry Fulton for taking me on tour throughout the Valley to various businesses. It was an insightful trip where I had the chance to talk to a lot of good folks about their businesses and how they can be better supported. We wrapped up that day with a great dinner at Gerry and Lorna Fulton's home in Berwick.
I spent the weekend door-knocking in Cumberland South. Tory Rushton is a great candidate and will be a huge asset in the Legislature. Please support him in any way you can from saying nice things about him and his wonderful family, to making calls to people that live in the area to supporting him on social media. The by-election date is June 19th - go Tory... and go Tories!
This weekend has me in Cape Breton. Click here for my full schedule!
June always seems to be a month of focus and hard work as we getting ready for the lazy days of summer. That being said, with only months left before the leadership vote, I don’t plan on a lot of down time.
Till next time,
