I first met Tim when he knocked on our door during the election campaign of 2013. He impressed us with his sincerity, openness and sincere desire to improve the economic situation of his fellow Nova Scotians in the areas of education and health care. Following Tim through the work he has done in the legislature as a member of the Private & Local Bills and Public Accounts Committees and seeing the extensive research and due diligence he uses during these meetings, the openness and connection he has with Pictou East constituents is apparent in every aspect of the work he has done as MLA representing Pictou East and all of Nova Scotia. He goes out of his way to know and understand the people he represents and the issues that impact their every day life. This is not lip service – he is a family man and is impacted the same way as every family in Pictou East. People who do not know Tim personally, but do know him for the work he has done on the issues at hand, will stop him on the street and thank him not only in his constituency but in others across the province. Speaking from past experience, being involved with Tim’s past two election campaigns and his track record to date, I wholeheartedly endorse his candidacy as Leader of the PC Party of Nova Scotia and next Premier of Nova Scotia.
