Barbara Adams, the Progressive Conservative MLA for Cole Harbour–Eastern Passage has announced her intention to support Tim Houston’s leadership bid.

“I have watched Tim challenge our caucus and the opposition by listening very carefully to everyone else and then bringing forth points and counterpoints that no one else had the courage to say, “says Adams. “He knows how to have difficult conversations when people don’t agree, but at the same time is extremely approachable, friendly and incredibly hard-working.”

Adams made her endorsement of Houston at the Sackville-Preston-Chezzetcook Conservative Association Dinner on Saturday night where Houston joined Maxime Bernier as guest speaker.

“Barb’s exceptionally passionate about the issues that impact not only her community, but all Nova Scotians,” said Houston. “Her voice has been, and will continue to be a force in the Legislature, so I’m obviously thrilled to have her bring her energy to our campaign.”

Adams believes there are three pressing challenges that need to be addressed in Nova Scotia; health care, education and economic growth. She believes Houston is the best choice to lead caucus members and facilitate discussions with the experts in each sector to impact change.

“Tim has displayed countless times his ability to bring people together and collectively find solutions,” said Adams. “I think he is the best person to help lead our province greater prosperity.”
